Hi, It’s Dave Thompson. I've performed stand-up comedy in 33 countries outside Britain, and Hungary is my favourite. I'm happy to perform for Dumaszinhaz in Budapest because my wife is Hungarian, and our young daughters speak better Hungarian than English. I've appeared in British TV stars Ben Elton and Harry Hill's feature films, and their TV shows too. Harry Hill has used me as a comedy actor in four of his tours around Britain. It's great fun performing in large theatres with one of Britain's most successful comedians. I was inside the Tinky Winky costume in the TV show 'Teletubbies', which is still transmitted all over the world. But most of all I love to write and perform stand-up comedy away from England, as being in a different country stimulates my comic imagination. The challenge of relating my ideas to people from different cultures, and who have a mother tongue other than English, makes me funnier.
